From Legacy to Lasting Impact

Zilber Family Foundation is proud to continue and honor the projects Joseph and Vera Zilber initiated in their lifetimes.

Joseph and Vera Zilber cared deeply about the community and created opportunities for all people to live a full and healthy life. The Zilber Family Foundation has made significant contributions to establish the Joseph J. Zilber College of Public Health at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to support educational opportunities for future generations at the university and the Aurora Zilber Family Hospice to provide high-quality care to pregnant individuals and their families at the Vera Zilber Birth Center at Adventist Health Castle in Oahu.

In 2019, the board of directors created the Foundation’s Legacy Program to support a limited number of Milwaukee-based organizations dedicated to issues of special importance to our founders and our board of directors. In 2025, this program was reimagined as the Joseph & Vera Zilber Partners program, and one of the four main pillars that make up Zilber Family Foundation’s priority grantmaking areas.

Requests for funding are considered by invitation only.
